If the sun was the size of a soccer ball, how big would the earth be? And how far away? Gain an understanding of the enormous size of space by exploring a scale model of our Solar System on foot. Join amateur astronomer Steve Golson for a walk across the solar system. Meet on the Carlisle Public School's Solar Car Port (next to the staircase). We’ll walk from the school to Kimball’s for a small ice cream. The COAHS Van will be available for anyone who does not want to walk to Kimball’s. This planetary walk is for all ages. If you have any questions, please email childrens@gleasonlibrary.org.  Rain date for this event is Tuesday, July 15th at 1:00PM.

This program is sponsored by the  Carlisle Recreation Department, the Carlisle Council on Aging & Human Services,  and the Friends of the Gleason Public Library.
