Nature Connection Story Time Online (for Ages 3 to 6)
Thursday, August 1210:30—11:15 AMZoom
Join The Nature Connection on Zoom as we explore plants and animals and connect with the world around us in new ways – all through nature-based stories and poems! During this monthly half-hour program for 3-6-year-olds, we will read a seasonally-appropriate story followed by a sensory engagement activity.
This month we'll be exploring the sights and sounds of a summer night. During our time together, we'll do some show & tell, read a story about animals who don’t sleep at night, and explore the special senses they use to find their way around!
For show & tell, you are invited to bring something that helps you feel comfortable in the dark, or something that twinkles or produces light.
Parents & Caregivers: please collect 2 or more small items and put them inside a bag for your child(ren) so that we can do a sense-of-touch guessing-game together (don’t let them peek!). Some ideas for objects include: a cotton ball, a small rock, a pine cone, leaf, or twig, a seashell. They can also be objects from inside your house (a lego, a rubber band, a crayon). If you would prefer, Jenn would be happy to put one together for you to pick up from the library – simply email her at childrens@gleasonlibrary.org to request one.
Registration for this event has now closed.
