Plum Island Pans: A Steel Drum Concert for Kids & Families

Join us on the Library front lawn for a fun concert with the Plum Island Pans! Learn about the history of steel drums and how these fun instruments are made. Plum Island Pans is a steel drum ensemble from the North Shore that covers a number of styles and genres of music including traditional steel drum music, reggae, and jazz. When the members of Plum Island Pans are not performing, they are teaching drum set, steel drums, and other percussion instruments to children and adults of all ages.

Please note that parking at the Library is limited. If the Library parking lot is full, additional parking is available at the Carlisle Public School (83 School St.), the Post Office (70 Bedford Rd.), Center Park (Lowell St.), and Town Hall (66 Westford St.), as well as street parking on Church Street and School Street.

This program is part of the Carlisle Summer Music Series for Kids & Families and presented by the Carlisle Recreation Department and the Gleason Public Library.  This fun series is sponsored by a grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
