The Golden Age of Silent Movies

 Newsreels, cartoons, early comedy, historical drama, serial thrillers, slap-stick comedy featuring  Harold Lloyd and Charlie Chaplin plus sight gags and chase scenes done by the king of sight gags, Buster Keaton … all presented with  narration and musical accompaniment by pianist Richard Hughes. 

Plus - animation devices and sound effects for audience members to synchronize to a melodrama from 1913.

Open to all ages; presented in partnership with the Carlisle Council on Aging and Human Services and with the support of the Friends of Gleason Public Library. Registration requested to reserve your spot for this free program, but walk-ins are also welcome.
